As a 40 something mom who grew up in England in the 70's I have never given up my passion for jeans and tees as my dress down wear of choice. Yes, I have my Italian wool suits and high heels, but when it comes to feeling comfortable I reach for my old blue jeans and favorite tee. While out shopping one day in search of the perfect tee for the 30 and 40 something crowd there was little to choose from, only tiny tees from the junior section that seem like they are made from tissue paper, sports jerseys, square cut shapeless grandma t-shirts or over priced white tees with a designers name emblazoned across the chest with rhinestones. Where are all the tees for me?
So I figured, well if no one else is going to make fun, hip, good quality t-shirts for my age group then I will. Only as a veteran vegetarian and passionate environmentalist, I would make them from sustainable eco-friendly fabrics such as organic cotton and bamboo. But then, why limit my brand to just adult clothing? Let’s make fun, healthful clothing available to everyone, from newborns to adults alike. My credo is Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good. Hence Green T was born to make organic cotton, bamboo and sustainable fabrics the fabrics of choice, create stylish, modern tees and casual wear that you will love to wear without feeling like you were time warped from the 60's.
The more I learn about the harmful pesticides and toxic checmicals that are used in the manufacture of our clothing the more I want to tell the world.
